Douglasville, GA – Douglas County Commissioner Martin Raxton will unveil new Adopt-A-Spot signs in District 3 as part of the “Keep It Clean District 3 Anti-Litter Campaign.” The event, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Fowler Field, will bring together community leaders, volunteers, and residents to celebrate the launch of this important environmental initiative.
The unveiling of these signs represents a community-wide commitment to keeping District 3 clean, green, and litter-free. Littering negatively impacts public spaces, and the Adopt-A-Spot program aims to encourage local businesses, organizations, and individuals to take responsibility for designated areas and help maintain them.
“Littering is not just an eyesore, it affects the health, safety, and pride of our community,” said Commissioner Raxton. “The ‘Keep It Clean’ campaign is about more than just cleaning up; it is about changing behaviors, fostering civic responsibility, and ensuring that Douglas County remains a beautiful place for generations to come.”
The event will feature a brief program followed by the unveiling of the Adopt-A-Spot signs, symbolizing the official kickoff of the campaign. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with community advocates and learn more about how they can participate in keeping District 3 clean.
Media representatives are encouraged to attend and cover this milestone event as Commissioner Raxton and community members come together to make a lasting impact.
